Ai's 21st Birthday

Our Japanese student, Ai, turned 21 on Valentine's Day. She is an international student here for an "American" education. We are her host family and have come to love her like our own. We invited her and Ha (our Korean student) over for a birthday dinner. She loved it. You can see her blowing out the candles, notice all the smoke. I thought I was going to have to call the fire department because I got the "trick" candles, so every time she blew them out, they would relight. I finally had to take the entire cake to the kitchen and use tongs to take them out and run them under water. It was a good laugh. Charley loved eating the birthday cake, he had chocolate frosting all over him.
