89er Day Square Dance

Katie's second grade class celebrated 89er day or Oklahoma's birthday by having a square dance. It was a lot of fun to watch. Katie is quite the little performer. Since the dance was outside, the wind kept blowing the hats off the children. You would see a lot of the kids chasing down their hats, but not Katie. Her hat blew off and she kept dancing. She was not at all worried about her hat. However, I was, because it was an expensive "real" cowboy hat her Mimi had bought her. When her dance was over, her partner ran over and got it for her. How sweet!
